Metro Analytics is also partnering with Alabama Transportation Institute to develop the business case for resilience in infrastructure and continuity of critical functions. Risk analysis, identification of resources, and mainstreaming implementation techniques are included!

New and Innovative Methods for Quantifying Resilience Scenarios

We are developing new methods to use typical DOT/MPO data and tools (i.e., travel demand models, GIS, etc) to produce new and collaborative solutions to resilience challenges. Our
approach is also layering in a view of social equity – who is vulnerable, where are they vulnerable, and what is the strongest business case for meeting the needs of the most vulnerable populations by addressing your most vulnerable infrastructure assets.

What’s Different

We are looking at resilience at the network level – considering all modes of transportation, all segments of your community – including your business and household communities. This integrated approach supports scenario planning
and diagnostics. In addition to modeling, this approach also presents tabletop exercises to get your teams to the table and engaged, collaborating, and making decisions together!
