Timothy McGuckin
Tim has enjoyed a variety of leadership and support roles in transportation and mobility technology and policy. His most recent assignments include Executive Director of MaaS America, Inc., an association dedicated to the advancement of integrated and shared mobility solutions specific to the US, and CEO of A-to-Be USA, the US arm of a multinational mobility technology solutions provider. Prior to that he served as a Transportation Operations Subject Matter Expert for the connected vehicle division of Leidos; an independent consultant, and CEO of GeoToll, Inc., a mobile payments start-up providing GPS-enabled smartphone solutions to pay multi-modal transportation fees. In all roles, Tim led strategic aspects of the associations and companies, did business development, increased company/organization visibility, and managed skilled experts who developed and deployed hard and soft technology solutions and policies that improved personal mobility.
Prior to the above roles, Tim served for 10 years as the CEO of OmniAir Consortium, Inc. a non-profit member association he conceived, founded and built to advance the deployment of interoperable vehicle and roadside technologies for telematics applications and connected vehicle ecosystems. Tim grew OmniAir from ‘concept to contract’ and won a Cooperative Agreement with USDOT ITSJPO to develop a compliance and interoperability certification program for safety-critical Wi-Fi based vehicle communication technology known at “5.9GHz DSRC.” Tim was OmniAir’s chief liaison to stakeholders including toll and road usage charge entities; ITS and electronics associations; OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, and government. Knowledgeable in mobility technologies and policies with a keen understanding of the big picture as well as the distinct perspectives of discrete stakeholders, Tim applied knowledge, experience, principles and passion to deliver results.
