Martin Markovich

Martin brings wealth of economics, state agency and technology policy experience to the team. Martin was a Senior Economic Analyst in the Offices of Policy Planning and Systems Implementation at Florida DOT. In this role he led FDOT’s cost-benefit and return on investment process through evaluation of dozens of large and mega projects. Martin also has produced financial projections and formal statistical analyses. From 2011 to 2017, he provided staff leadership in developing methods and templates for benefit-cost analysis (BCA, also referred to as Return On Investment) for FDOT.
Martin also worked with autonomous and connected vehicle planning for 10 years at FDOT. He presented at the ISD Managers’ Meeting “Economic Impacts of ACES” (Autonomous, Connected, Electric and Shared Vehicles) and was responsible for multiple research need proposals and memos regarding AV/CV, including “CV Technologies: DSRC and 5G” memo on R&D Strategies. In addition to his transportation research qualifications, Martin has considerable experience in the areas of health insurance and health access needs. In February 2000, Martin helped research and draft “Report of the Florida Advisory Group on the Submission and Payment of Health Claims”, which was submitted to the Florida Legislature.
